I currently have a writer who contributes articles to my website...however just now i found out that the same article has been published on another website...while i made a couple of changes to the article that he had sent, the one published on the other website and the draft that he had sent was the same word to word....now i am looking to find the culprit here..if the article has been published before, then i can catch the writer and put all the blame on him...or else even then i can fire him since i had asked him in the contract not to contribute the same articles to other websites...can i know how to find the date at which the other article has been published???there was no date displayed on the other website...pls help me

If you have a CopyScape Pro account, this is easy. All you have to do is paste the article content on a box and copyscape will search the web for duplicate copies.

Another way to do this is to search a paragraph of the article using Google.

As for your writer, tell him that you found a couple of duplicate copies of his articles. If it's the first time for him to do this, give him a warning. If it has been a repeated offense, tell him that you no longer need his services for breach of contract and lack of professionalism (plagiarism).
