I think the sandbox is a myth. Add quality content, build some links, and let others link to your great work. Before long you will rank well.

The only sandbox I know of is used by my cat. And trust me, that sandbox is not a good place to be in!

    There is no sandbox.

Yes, it will take time to develop your site, but there is no magic box that you are suddenly going to jump out of and zoom up the ranks.

if you cannot find your site on the first page by searching the full domain,
it's possible that your site is in google sandbox...

If your site is pretty new and competing for for highly competitive keyword phrases, there's a high chance that it will get sandboxed. Usually what you can see is that even though you have good Google PageRank and strong incoming backlinks, your site is nowhere to be found on the first page for the most important keyword searches.

Once you start a new website, it will enter in the news life cycle with Google, which will last for almost a month... during this period Google will rank your site high and give it a post in the ranking and that's a well known face.
However if your website have a good content and started to gather some back links from other websites... then it will last for long, other wise it will drop in the ranking to the last page or so till the backlinks you get age and start passing value! However sandbox normally target commercial and competitive keywords only.

i think ..google sandbox was created earlier for keeping the new pages stored before they were added to main google's index

If you add fresh content in your site and build some relevant backlinks too, then I think you never will have to worry about sandbox.

the simple answer is that you can't tell. The best way to avoid it is to not create spam sites that are full of articles from everywhere else on the web, but that are original and unique content for your site

High PR links will help you bypass the sandbox.
