    Hi there,

How can we know if a specific page of a site is in the supplemental index or not?

Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Regards

You search for all pages of your website in Google and if any pages are listed as supplemental then it is written behind the listing.

This can be a case when the page you want to check is very new, or has not been indexed by Google yet. You can make a sitemap for your website and submit it to Google Sitemaps. This will help speed the process of your page getting indexed by Google and you'll be able to identify if it is in Supplemental Results or not.

Thanks for your answer. This is one area which confuses me greatly. Initially, google did not even crawl to my site. After submitting my sitemap, it fix the crawling problem but it only display 2 out of 11 pages on my site. The 2 pages are among the new ones. What could be the possible cause?

For crawling and indexing, its a good idea to get links to your websites. You can find some Killer Link Building Strategies at my blog I added this week.

Google will not show all the indexed pages in one go. You will have to wait for it to re-spider your website and then more pages will be picked up.

Also, make sure that you add unique content to all your webpages so that they dont go in Supplemental Pages.

Inorder to know whether your site is in supplemental (hell) or not, You search for your site in the same manner in which you search when u want to know whether your site is indexed or not (http://yoursite.com). After searching if the following message comes then you are in supplemental hell.

Let me give you an example to make things more clear. Check this out http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=http%3A%2F%2Fgasapien.blogspot.com%2F&btnG=Search&meta=
