I define good backlink in 2 ways: 1. Traffic. So I do not bother if this is dofollow/nofollow link, I will leave comment on blog, link exchange at famous site, answers on YA to gather targeted traffic. 2. PR. I will try to find high PR site to leave comment and hope to gather some backlink juice, pushing my SERP higher but this has been a less priority to me in the recent months. "Targetted" traffic is still more important.
I would go for location on the page, backlinks to the page where link is located and traffic on the page to decide if it's a good backlink (when I am paying for it)
If it is dofollow, generates traffic, or generates buzz about your site then it is a good link. THere are many ways to get links like these
I think its pretty simple to find out if a links any good, and thats does the link ever get clicked on ? if it doesnt then its a bad link, if it does then its a good link ! Woc
For me, 1. Check it on mcafee _ _ ware test. 2. Check alexa ranking. 3. Check PR. 4. Check number of comments.
Backlinks can benefit you by two ways.... 1) If it is from a good page with relevant content related to your niche, it is a cached page, have some PR (however PR is not so important) and dofollow then it is very beneficial backlink from SEO and Google point of view. 2) If the backlink is nofollow but it is at a page which has very high traffic and high visitors then it can generate lot of traffic to your site, however it will not be counted by Search engines.
Can you be a little more specific? If you mean as far as traffic, you might want to look at blogs that have high page rank AND a high blog commenting rate such as shoemoney. Now if you are looking for just backlink quality for increasing your own page rank, you might want to do blog commenting on high page rank blogs in the the inner webpages. This means, you do blog comments on older post, mostly more than 1 week old. Hope that helped.
the number of backlinks to the domain, if its high its a good domain if its not, hmm then dont bother
when your page is linked to others site good pr page then it is a good back link for more information on back links please check out seo comapny india mutants.in/seocompanyindia
A good backlink should be a link that not only has good page rank but is also RELEVANT to your website. In my experience I would rather have 10 quality RELEVANT links to my website than 100 links with same page rank from non-relevant sources. Google can show you what it deems as relevant to your site just go to your browser and type relevant:<your site> . Obviously competitors will appear here, you must look for websites that are closely relevant to your sector but not a direct competitor for phrases you are trying to target.
Getting traffic by leaving comments on blogs which have great PR, giving answers on YA, are the best options for getting good backlinks to your site.
That is true, but the ultimate targeted traffic is organic Google or search engine traffic. Having "good" backlinks helps increase your rankings, which leads to more of this ultimate targeted traffic. So I think that you should put your focus on building your SERP's rather than on YA, unless your niche is super competitive, in which case you gain traffic anyway you can lol.
Avoid 1. porn site 2. gambling site 3. no pr site 4. not index website 5. not cache website 6. more than 30 outbound links 7. banned site Goodluck
I define a good back links as those dofollow links because it would help you site to get in the top position on Google. '
