For one of my ads this is what i have :

2 clicks in 45 impressions from 1st nov to 3rd november.
10 clicks in 46 impressions on 4th nov (in 12 hrs)

No inquiries or email or anything on 4th November.

I know its possible but how do i find out if some1 just clicked on my ads just for the heck of it.

    Thanks,
    Ashish

    Hello Ashish,

I don't think there is any way that you can tell who is clicking on your ads, although Google Analyticsthan, may possibly give you some information, I do believe that companies such as Google have software in place to protect you from multiple clicks. For your information on my own website I find that people can buy several items in one day, or even several days running and then you won't make a sale several days, so I'm not surprised by your figures, I hope this helps you.

I think it is normal, you can not expect every click will be converted to sales. People might find your adds interesting then click your ads and after they have redirected to your website they did not find what they want.

What is a good conversion rate for using adwords? I have not made a sale yet from adwords, and I have had 16 clicks?

Depends on what you are selling. Most of the time 4-5% is what i get. out of 100 clicks 4-5 converts.

I don't think 4 days and 12 clicks (total from 1st Nov to 4th Nov) is long enough to make any meaningful marketing strategy analysis or plans. Of course you want results quickly, but to make the best judgements will take a lot more data.

Most Adwords Specialists will test a variety of campaigns out, mixing keywords, ad copy, etc, to find the most effective (and cost effective) ads. If you are worried about not getting sales, then that might be an issue with your webdesign or shopping cart system or prices of goods - there are many factors to consider in the whole user experience of customers.

Why to worry for 1 or 2 clicks? if you get 1000-2000 clicks, you can start worry about it, but now, just leave it.Besides you can't know if someone clicked it just for fun or because it was interesting to them/him/her etc....

I think maybe your content isn't up to scratch, and maybe thats why it isn't converting, do some tweeks or split test with lots of different content for your product

Different people click on ads for different reasons 1) Competitors 2) Information Seekers 3) Potential Buyers 4) Research/Students
