How to know if banned from google? (Buying a domain)

    Hi.
    I want to buy a domain name from someone.
    I would like to know how to find out if there is anything wrong with this domain. How can i know if it's banned from google and if there is a google penalty.
    Also, is there anything else i need to know before buying a domain name?

    Thanks a lot, the name is perfect for my new website, but i don't want to waste my money.

    just search "site:yourdomain.com" on google. If there's no result MAYBE the domain has been blocked.
