how to know if a page is indexed by google?

or cached by google?
for example：this url:
http://blog.9451.com/u1/nbesch/archives/2007/14536.html

if you directly type it in search box,it show nothing. if you use site:http://blog.9451.com/u1/nbesch/archives/2007/14536.html
it shows.


if you build some backlink,how to easily know if these page are indexed by google.

 

forgot to say:
1. put a unique string in page.then search it. if you find it ,it must be cached.
2.site: operator, but it seem it not work sometime. what i got buy type site:www.name.com/blog in search box?

 

You can use google to search it.

 

Type in site:domain.com in search.

 

Check by either of the below method

cache:http://www.damain.com/
site:http://www.domain.com/

 

Use

site:YOUR URL

or try direct search it in google. If not appear try to make changes like remove http://, without www,
