Yeah, I regularly look the links sales forums and I'm amazed at some prices. Why? because often those links offers are made this way: 1) seller buys an expired or expiring domain with PR 2) puts up a quick wordpress blog 3) put blogs post on sales that method is really bad in my opinion, expecially if he doesn't do ANY Seo, and if he just post the articles he sells (without adding ANY original content). Such behaviour in my opinion can led that site to have PR0-1 in just a few months, or even banned from google for duplicate content (if he doesn't even do some posts on his own). So when you check the links sales, if they are priced too low, there is a reason I reccommend to always check the domain age, if is just 1-2 months old, the PR could go down dramatically in next google update.
nice tips but according to me is if that person has started seo work rapidly than there is no chances of lots pr in next update. i mean to say is just do more link exchange for that domain and raise your back links u can maintain the pr ever though domain age is only 2-3 months.
You know it's good if the page it is on ranks well in the serps for its keyword(s) and there is a contextual reason for it being there. - Michael
Yes nice additions. To seojig: I don't mean to RAISE PR, but actually mantain at least the one they actually have. I've seen people selling PR4, to be dropped to PR1 in just one month later, because they did 0 promotion
i would like to add the following things - first check the age as rei1974 told earlier. - than check the back links in google for home page. - check weather page is indexed and if yes than check the date of last indexed. - and see the links which already there on that page. - and outgoing links must be less around 50 in that link page.
Yes also quality links attract other links, best way to work out on content, the quality content will attract good links naturally.
It all depends on the making of the website. If a particular website is without any SEO but the visitors like it then they will obviously link back to your site without you asking them. So its all about quality whether its content , links etc.
The problem is for the most part that creating truly unique content that somehow a relevant site finds and links to you is like shooting in the dark. How do you manage that consistently for clients? Yeah, if you have one client that's one thing. But, how do I get a plumber in Kansas City to create that? Or a Piano Teacher in Boston? There has to be different ways to get incoming links. M
I would say only the initial period for your site when it is not famous will be a bit troublesome to let people know about it. Once people come to know that it is genuinely a good site it is sure to get you links but patience is the key for that.
It is because of think like this why I only pay good money to purchase links from authority sites. Do you think your purchased domain is going to help my site rank high? Google sees your link as worthless even though it might be PR 5 or 6. Link exchanges to keep PR? Just a scam to make quick money.
I was wondering why it seemed like I was the only sane person on this thread and then it hit me......People are still addicted to toolbar PR. It seems to be the first and only thing they consider in their SEO and link building campaigns. The same people are going to be back here in a few months asking why is a PR2 site ahead of my PR5 site...
