How to know actual page listing in Google

OK - I launched a site, it's been indexed by Google....all this has been verified. I type specific keywords pertaining to this site in the Google search and it doesn't appear on the first 100 results listings, or on second page of listings.... SO - basic question is: how to verify the actual site within the grand scheme of Google? Is it 215th? or 250th? Or?

A new site undergoes what is called a sandbox effect. It will prop up for a few keywords in the initial days and drop all its rankings. The sandbox is an aging filter and almost every site comes out of it in time, some quicker than the others.

Now since your site is new it is supposed to do, more or less the same. Don't stop with the seo activities - keeping on adding fresh content, develop backlinks and other stuff that are normally undertaken. This would quicken the period and your website should come out with flying colors if everything goes well.

Greatly appreciate Kneoteric...SANDBOX, I keep forgetting. What I am doing: still optimizing by manipulating meta description tag and also going into specific directories and listing it for one-way links and in particular, commenting on certain blogs that pertain to the subject matter of the site in question. Thank you...

maybe 4-6 months for the ranking time..

when you search the keywords, it may return 600-900 search results, you may check till top 1000 results...

    Others are hidden...

you may use some seo tools to check it, it's faster...

Yes DOMAIN10X...I already was aware of that. BUT, why doesn't the site appear by typing in specific keywords for that site? I mean, YES, it is in the Google index (I already can get it by typing in the http: etc. in the tool bar)....HOW do I know what page it is in within Google....this is something no one seems to know.

if your site is not listed at top 1,000 SERPs for the specific keywowrd searched then you have to wait

Yes, I understand about waiting...that isn't my problem, as I add a bit to it here & there. My question is to WHERE is sits in the SERPS? How do you find it's current listing within the pages of Google? I don't care if it's one, 20 or on the 5th page....but I'd like to know where it is at in there out of curiosity.

    Thanks!

for #1 ~ #1,000 ranks, you may use the tool, it tells you #position ex: #20, #5
    http://www.seoserp.com/web_tools/google_top_1000_serps_checker.asp

    but for #1,000+
    still need to wait

We have launched 7 of our own sites and none of them ever landed in the sandbox which you speak of...

The first thing you should understand that these things can take sometime if you are in a competitive market...

I would have a profession SEO look at your website to make sure that you have done everything correctly.

You should also be building links...

There are a lot of reasons why you may not be ranking, but it has nothing to do with a sandbox.

It is nice, you liked it.

try to read SeoSerp.com has some SERP useful tips for you guys:

Read it before you use the SERP tool to check top 1000 rankings.
    SERPs for google.com/search?q=keyword&num=10
The results are different than [ num > 10 ] eg: SERPs for google.com/search?q=keyword&num=20
You may try num=50 or num=100. Most of time when you use num>10 the SERPs will list all same domain name sites together at once. ......................more
