How to Keyword Research with Google's Data

    Hi all,

I'm researching a keyword. The tool I'm using pulls from Google's External Keyword Tool.

I did a search for Exact Match and US for Country.

My keyword shows zero for results. But the related keywords I have a question on.

    Picking one it says:
    Global: 8100
    Local: 5400
    Competition: low
    KEI: 14

I'm confused on the 'Competition' part. This is Adwords competition. I'm looking to write content. So, is the 'Competition' part an innacurate area for me to look at?

I know I should then look at the top 10 ranking sites and see their SEO efforts to get a better idea.

I'm lead to believe this example keyword above would be one to go for, but how can I be as close to confidently sure as possible?

Or is it possibly bad because nobody is bidding on it?

Choose a medium competition keyword with high local search for adwords competition, those are the good keywords for your site.

Ok, so Low Competition is not worth it then? Low Competition = nobody bidding on it = not really worthy of making anyone money. Correct?

Well if it's low competition and lots of searches, then that means you'll get cheap AdWords for a high searched keyword.
