I used to have lots of spammers too. When I switched on Akismet and captcha it died right down. Also approve comments first.

How do you add the Recaptcha to wordpress? I have installed the plugin but where do you add the code and stuff. I have searched online and not much info to find. Please help me.

    Thanks

Captchas are the best way to go IMO. I have never used Akisment, so maybe that works better.

Don't worry about people buying captcha solves. The idea of spamming is to have virtually free advertising, so I doubt whoever is spamming your blog is going to buy them.

Well, you are right about spammers and free advert. I will want you to give askimet a trial. its dynamite. Infact your spammers are put out of way without you doing any job.
