Hi, I have a couple of sites that are quite well ranked in the search engines. I would like to do my best to keep them there obviously. Now to get these rankings in the first place I've used a few link building tools etc and a bit of building myself. Now recently a couple of my other sites got penalized in the penguin update. No surprise as there we're some pretty awful back links and I used the same tools. Now I know some of these links may be unrelated and not very good. So should I go through my backlinks and remove any that could cause harm to rankings? Would this decrease my rankings? What can I do onpage to help Google trust me more as a website. I'm look for only white hat methods. Thanks for any answers.
HI Scott, Yes you have to remove all bad links which your site have, if you affected by penguin, you need to update your website content (Fresh Content) Then start link building again (You don't need to Redo on page but if you want to do so you can).... In term of decreasing ranking status, that penguin already done with your website... Now you need to focus on Link building, Content Optimization <--It's must.... Of you can take help of any other marketing professional..... Thanks Nitin
