hi, i use blogger for my blogs. I have created a new blog and there is a post "About this Blog". I want to keep this post on top always.

Is there any way to do so ?

Not sure if there is a way to do that with Blogger. You can always put your "about text" in your template before the posts starts instead...

You can use a very large date like 3000 and it will always been at the top.

Using a date with a future year must look weird for users reading the post though. Is there a way you can just leave out the date?

Why don't you put it in a page element - use the Text element. And just place it above your blog posts.
That will ensure that it will always be part of the blog's "homepage".
