Use the google keyword tool, with a good tutorial you will have all you need. In my opinion, the keyword software programs have to many bells and whistles.

Your image doesn't give the exact idea. Better you go with Google adword tool and then search keywords. If you rank faster choose lower competitive keywords rather than lowest or highest.

The image is too advanced for my understanding; better go and use adword for easy understanding and it is free.
All you need to do is search for each keyword/phrase and look for the ones with low competition and use them to write artilces and place them as your html tags,
the your site will rank based on your effort llevel.
    Cheers.

I use Long tail pro to gauge how competitive it would be to rank a particular kw. Look at the back links of the page results, Page Rank of the SERPs, age of domains that rank first page, do they have Dmoz entry, .edu backlinks etc, is the kw in meta-description, page title etc.
From there, you will be able to gauge how easy or hard it will be to rank your keyword. You can never go wrong with this method and it works like a charm.

It depends what you mean.. If you are talking about competition on the google adword tool then that is the advertisers competition for the keyword.. so a high competition can be a good thing.

I suggest you look on the Competition Column and the global monthly search figures for the keyword. You can find these under the Research > Keyword on Traffic Travis. The data you posted are the sites using the target keyword, what their PR is and the number of backlinks, etc. This can lead to confusion.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!
