    Hi

While interviewing designers and developers how to find out their real motivation towards work and learning new things.
During the interview they tell everything very positive and answer technical questions really well. But after they get the job , its different.

Job seekers during job interviews would always put their best foot forward. Hiring should not be relied on job interview performance alone. Background check and past performance with previous companies are essential indicators of a good worker.

Many candidates have good work experience say 2-3 years , but in the other companies they have been doing say very low-quality work in bulk e.g. tabled websites using photoshop
And we need to teach them better things like cross browser css , w3c validation etc. So it becomes important to find whether the candidate has a zeal to learn new things and put in the required kind of effort.

You ask questions what ever you know. Otherwise you may in trouble if he replies differently.

Another advice I remember today is that to put your shoes upon the other person. It gives you a different perspective on the whole interview thing.

What you might want to look for is the 'different' and 'unique' answers to the standard questions. When you get these unique answers it gives more of an insight on what the candidate is really thinking, or at the very least, it shows that the candidate has a good personality and a good process of thinking.. which is a good thing to have in any candidate.

You need to watch out for the 'stock-standard' answers that people give. Yes they may be able to provide positive answers. (ect. Q. What are your strong points? A. I am a hard worker, I am always on time, I am good with customers, ect ect ect.) These are good things however the answer would not be considered very beneficial to you.. its a very standard answer that anyone can give! Look for the 'different' answers. They will tell you what you need to know.

If you need any further info let me know :)

Have some personal question, on this one you can foresee the attitude of the applicant the way of his/her answer.
