I want to build a static site, mean a static homepage and integrate a blog into it so that I can update easily and the recent updates must appear in home page.

I am building a film site ,I am prefering static beacuse its good for seo ,but for updates it becomes tough so only for new updates I want to use cms.How can I do that.

Does integrating two create any problem for seo and are there are other good methods.Thanks.

    Hi Comcharan,

Its actually a myth that having a static website is better from the SEO perspective, you can have web pages with content picked from the database and search engines will give them equal weightage as that to a static HTML page.

The only thing you will have to keep in mind is that the page which is generated from the database follows the standards that are easy for search engine crawlers to parse. In other words crawlers will look at the pages of the website as you see the source of the page form view source option in the browsers.

So go-ahead and have dynamic website deployed and keep things easy for you to manage the site.

    Thanks,

    Maneet

It depends the type of cms you use.

Which one you use wordpress or drupal or joomla or anything else?

Nowadays, all CMS provide option to make pages with .html extension. wordpress has a very nice option for it.

Moreover, you can use RSS feature so you can update all search engines with some easy and good plugins. and they are free too.

    Best Regards,

    Nirmal
