How to integrate a premium forum into WordPress?

    Hi there,

    I'm looking to somehow integrate a premium forum script (IPS, XenForo, VBulletin etc) into WordPress with aesthetic consistency... ideally I would like to be able to properly integrate it, rather than skin the forum to look similar (see The Student Rooms and TES forums for examples of something similar to what I'd like to achieve).

    I understand that XenForo previously had a XenWord add on to achieve this, but sales have been halted. I also know that WordPress forum plugins such as BBPress exist, but I need something with greater functionality.
