Is your blog is free sub domain like " myblog.wordpress.com ". If your blog domain is something like this, that you haven't install the Google Analytic Code in word press. Becase google analytic give us a analytic code which we have to put under the header section of home page HTML code, but in the free wordpress blog we have not right to access header section code. :)

There are several ways to do it.

Of course the most cumbersome is to edit your theme's files manually to place the code.

However, many themes already are "analytics ready" and have a section where you can add scripts that will be placed in the header, or before the /body tag, check your theme.

And the final option is to install a plugin that does just that, there are lots of them, you can go to plugins -> Add new, and search for "analytics", you'll see plenty of them.

I personally would look at other good alternatives out there like woopra. Some excellent companies out there who offer great analytics

I used Google Analytics plugin (Version 1.0.2 | By Kevin Sylvestre)

Copy and paste your Google Analytics id and you're good to go.

It is very easy to install the code. There is a google analytics plugin for wordpress website. when you activate the plugin to your website and open your analytics id, it directly fetches the code from analytics login and it is added to all the web pages.

if you do not want to install that plugin, you can basically create a text widget and paste your code in the widget and save it. Work done :)
