How to install GD

    I have PHP Version 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.5. The output of phpinfo() makes no mention of GD. The only lines in php.ini referring to GD are:

    [gd]
    ; Tell the jpeg decode to libjpeg warnings and try to create
    ; a gd image. The warning will then be displayed as notices
    ; disabled by default
    ;gd.jpeg_ignore_warning = 0

    So there obviously is no GD. I need to install it. www.php.net is very vague about installing. How do I go about it?

    If you have dedicated server you can use below commands:

    #yum install php-gd
    then restart apache

    #service httpd restart
