How to insert read more function for posts?

    Hello,
    How can i add read more function to my posts and other content? Now i'm having problem, if you click on category it shows all post. I need to show only first five or six sentences, how to insert this function?

    Position your mouse curser (click it) in the page/post where you want to insert the "More" tag and click the More icon.
