How to index my page to google in 1 week?

Wordpecker, do you think it is better to submit a sitemap to Google or to install one on your website itself or both? I use a sitemap generator to install HTML, TXT, XML, and ROR sitemaps after I finish my sites.

Do you have any recommendations for other Site Map generators/tools? The gen I use displays broken links and has some cool advanced options like setting page priority. However it's default settings do a good job and I haven't played around that much with the other settings. I have however gotten my site maps to rank for long tale key phrases by enabling automatic meta tags and descriptions inside the generator. Kind of neat when Google's 1st result is the homepage and result #2 is the XML sitemap and #3 is the HTML. Apparently I do a great job on my homepages but my sitemap is beating the rest of my content on the other pages ;-).

I keep the generator stored on my computer at work. I'll try to remember to post a link to it online tomorrow.

Akasheg - I like the technique you are talking about by posting links to sites that get indexed several times a day. I am looking forward to being allowed to be able to post live links and signatures on here for that reason. I have also used this same approach in an article directory my company manages. I will just submit a couple basic articles with links and Google will crawl it.

Clyde Frog - I have heard about something similar with Facebook but not with Twitter. Have you really seen a website indexed that quickly? I am going to have to do some personal investigation because I can start pitching clients on how important it is they let us do their social media profiles before we even begin website construction. Usually the site comes first and social media promotion second. However check out this article one of my co-workers found and posted to our Facebook wall about Facebook traffic:

This brings up an interesting thought. Hitting Facebook with advertisements linking to the site. Not a big deal if you get free ad credits when you sign up for hosting....However we like to provide hosting for our clients ourselves....Anybody know a way to get free facebook ad credits for first time ad users strictly through Facebook?

You may introduce your website by the help of such high PR bookmarking like Digg.com, Propeller.com, StumbleUpon, Reddit.com, etc these are very effective and very helpful to high light the website.
