    I used to have a 25k alexa website .Funny enough almost all of my traffic was bought.However buying blog posts and such helped traffic as well.

    agreed. One of the best and easiest way to generate good traffic is through social media. Aside from Facebook, you can also use twitter and other social media that you know. Also, if your site targeted local audience it might also be helpful to put your link on local listings. And the most important is to make sure that your site is prepared for viewing and the content will make your audience go back to your site every now and then.
