Many of you are asking how to get more traffic, increase CTR.

My take is that if you know how to increase your CTR, you would have already made more money.

Here's one of my sites layout, it's a standard layout that I give to all my sites:

There are 3 Adsense blocks at the upper fold. Notice the clever blending of the menu.

This layout usually gets me at least 10% CTR.

    Try it out.

Remember to test the layout for at least 1 week.

Is it possible that it is against the google adsense TOS to blend ads like that?

Not that I know of. Any other veterans in Adsense want to confirm that?

Should be OK if the 'Ads by Google' bar is there.

I've tested to have the top leaderboard to be near the top images and one space away from the top image...

Close to the top image gets me more clicks... :D

If you ask me, this is type of layout will increase your CTR at the expense of your return traffic.

    Ask yourself this:
Have you navigated to sites like this?
Do you read the site or navigate away?
Do you ever return to sites that look like this?

This is a great layout for some sites, will not be good for all.
(Just trying to give a different point of view)

Just don't get your ad closer to your header image, that will violate adsense tos. :)

The center ads are the most good looking because they don't give a feel of ads and they are also the first block any visitor would automatically notice and read.

That's a good point. I was thinking of that too.

So what I did was I just observe how my wife surfs the Internet. A complete ignorance about Adsense.

So found 4-5 sites, surfing into them and told me, "Dear, check out this website on handbags".

Guess which site she has been clicking? All adsense sites... Similar layout that I am having now...

The best way to know is, check out the non-IM guys. See how they surf the website.

So, the key is to have CONTENT AND ADSENSE intergrated together. Not pushing adsense to the top and leaves content at the bottom.

yes close to your top image and the ads inside the post will give you a high CTR. This is the best arrangement.

Oh... It seems like you don't know the difference between a site that is MFA a site that is not MFA...
