How to increase web traffic?

My web traffic it's so bad, can you help me ?!

Constant use of twitter and facebook with huge number of following will surely boost up the traffic.

 

Just my two cents: It seems like what you need is a higher quality of traffic vs just increasing the amount. You need to target more accurately where the traffic is coming from and focus only on the traffic that is actually converting (buying your product). Look at your analytical report more in depth.

 

There are many sources from where we can get traffic but before any promotion we must understand that what short of traffic we are going to target and according to that we should start promotions or advertising.

 

You can write articles and create webpages to backlink to your website.

 

Bring down your bounce rate substantially. Daily update the content with high ranking keywords, which will increase your traffic. Give publicity as wide as possible to your blog or site.

 

Add interesting content and make the keyword more relevant to that site.

 

many ways to incerese traffic but try not to adopt illelegal ways inc case you are using adsense

 

So what I'm gathering from this thread is :

1 - Just having useful information on the site won't be enough.

2 - I'm going to have to post very regularly to my blogsites to keep it fresh and/or increase traffic.

3 - It's going to take some creativity to keep the site relevant in the sea of competing sites.

4 - It's not going to be easy.

I'll have to have a completely different discussion about Facebook. Apologies in advance for some of my questions. I'm not the most technically savvy and still learning how the SEO game is played.

Maybe I'm just thinking out loud in this reply, but I'm more just reiterating what you're all posting and getting it right in my head before jumping in.

Zlori is right. if you can't do this just go to the analytic then to the page of bounce rate. below that page you can see different helps. like how to reduce bounce rate/ hoe to get traffic etc. you can easily know the possible ways to decrease the bounce rate.
to increase traffic you can go for SMM, Quality link building, forum link building. related and other links all are good to increase the traffic.

Yep like some already said, use social networking sites. They will definitely increase your traffic.

bounce rate is something i am only just finding out about myself but i agree with a previous post if the web content is good it will keep the interest and the bounce rate should be lower
