try video marketing...create your own short video and upload, spread through Youtube, metacafe,rivver,veoh etc..it's for your long term traffic and new visitors
Don't write about Making money online... lol... but don't write about the same thing everyone else is writing about, do some SEO techniques, socialize, network, etc... but honestly, if you're writing about MMO, it'll be a turn off unless your content is REALLY unique.
if you don't have money for paying some advertisers... just create a quality content and post it to social bookmarking sites.
There are many good ways to get your traffic back up again the only thing is that you have to do something for it because the more time you spend on your website, the more visitors you will get!
If it is a blog the solution is simple. Make sure your blog pings technorati on each post. Or do it manually. Just write more content or hire someone to do it.
Has anyone suggested that you create an entertaining video with a link back to your site? That's fairly easy to do. I gather that sometimes traffic drops after Google downgrades a site's indexing position.

Buy links on sites fitting in your niche.. Do social bookmarking, spread the word .. Your bound to retain the traffic you had earlier..
I know this is a major newbie question, but what is the best way to build backlinks. I have very few people who just link to my blog... does that mean buy links? Exchange links? all of the above? Thanks!
