    Hi,
I am a newbie for adsense. I have a site which has very good content but still its not getting much traffic and the reason is that its page ranking is 0. and the most important thing to increase pageranking is to get incoming links to your site... so can anybody tell me how to get those links in a easier way...if possible for free... otherwise any other resource with sells links at a cheap but that should be reliable also??

If you search these forums you can find all the information to need.

Search with quotes "directory submission" and "increase traffic" etc etc

There are many answers to this question if you do a search through the forum. The reason you aren't getting traffic isn't PR, it's because you don't have enough relevant backlinks to your site - which is much more important that just PR.

You can start by submitting to the 100 or so free directories listed on other posts in this forum. You should also try to exchange links with other sites that are similar to yours.

If you site is new, you aren't likely to see much traffic from google because of a filter they have for new sites, so concentrate on MSN and to a lessor extent, yahoo.

Getting indexed by the search engines is easy, you don't even need to submit your site - you only need one link to your site (put your url in your signature and it will get spidered almost immediately). Getting traffic requires you to be well ranked - and that takes backlinks, a lot of them for any competitive keyword.

ya, submission in directories is ok.. but its a long and lengthy process..and you are not sure whether they will include you or not....so the main things is getting links from other quality sites...but what i am thinking is why will anybody link to my site ...becoz they wont be getting profit as my PR is 0

If you really have some unique and needed content, there should be no problems for you to get backlinks. If you have nothing like that, then you are one of millions and you should work hard to increase you traffic just a little.

I believe that each resouce has its virtual traffic limit. And the more unique and needed the resource is, the higher is that traffic limit and easier to reach it.

What is the url for your resource?

I personally do not believe in link exchange programs and I'm never using them :)
The same as I do not believe in paying for visitors.

If you resource is good enough, the visitors will come themselves. If your resource is not so good, there is no sense in bringing visitors - you will simply loose your money and gain nothing.

The only sense of paying for visitors is when you are sure that you will earn more from visitors then you pay for them. That is called business. Otherwise it's just loosing money and time.
And I do not think it can be applied to new starting resources.

    sam1,

Please read my post http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=35808. If you write an article about your site I will post it somewhere on my site (front page has PR4). That will give you a backlink from a relevant page. And hopefully the PR of that page will increase as my site increases in popularity.

    Conditions:
    - article must have atleast 250 words.
    - article must comply with adsense tos.

    Regards,

    fcmisc.

    Less,

    My site is: http://www.personal-finance.tv/

It's mostly about finance but I can create an "other" or "misc" section if your site doesn't fit into any of the current categories.

    Regards,

    fcmisc.

It would be nice if that was true, unfortunately, you'll never rank well for any competitive keyword without backlinks.

I think that should be easier to apply a head and create some valuable resource instead of paying for backlinks.
If you create something valuable, you will get your backlinks and visitors with no problem and without paying even a cent.

But... if someone believes in paid backlinks, I can give you with no problems backlink from one of our resources that have PR from 4 to 6. And that will also bring some traffic to your site.
If you are interested, just PM me what you are ready to pay for that.

mjewel, about ranking well. The resource in my signature is online for about 3 months and has already 6PR without! building any backlinks. And we are also in top50 positions in all 3 major search engines for 2 keyphrases that the resource was optimised for. These keyphrases return 40 and 160 M of results in Google. I am not saying that we do not have backlinks, I'm just saying that we did not build them ourselves.

Exchange links with the sites which are similar to yours, adding their links to your site first, and then kindly email them, most webmasters would be willing and happy to exchange links.
