    As your site is a discussion board, allow your users to share their threads and comments in their social networking sites like facebook, twitter etc.. this will allow them to show the content to their followers and if their followers or friends interested in that topic will be redirected to your site. Go to some other relevant forums and comment for the threads which is asking the same question that you have in your site. (like, hey i found an answer for this question at xyz.com/abcd etc) so that users will visit your site for the already answered thread.
