Editting meta keywords won't really help at all. - Create quality content for your blog - submit your site to search engines / article directories - comment on blogs - put questions on yahoo answers and put a link to your page - google trends - write about popular topics - stumbleupon, digg, reddit (submit posts to these pages if they are very interesting)
Make sure you learn on page and off page optimization first before creating your blog content and writing articles for submission to article directories.
If you want to add more traffic for your blog then you have to try add some latest topic. Also change its layout with some period of time. Make it more attractive so more people will come to your blog daily. Also give advertisement in various search engine so that your blog demand will increase in the world.
There are a few ways to do it. 1. Article marketing 2. Backlinking for SEO ie organic search traffic 3. Comment posting at other similar blogs to yours 4. Social bookmarking each blog post. 5. Post unique content regularly. 6. Submit your blog feed to RSS directories
7. Create an interesting article that can be used for "linkbait" - Something so interesting that people WANT to link to the article. I recently made a photoshop picture of a bird head with a shark body. 8. Use Socialmarker.com to bookmark all you posts. This will increase your backlinks and gain some really decent traffic. Plus it is really quick when you use socialmarker 8. Comment on do-follow blogs to make sure that you are getting some google love for all your effort to increase PR 9. Submit a press release if applicable 10. Make a nice and bigg rss button for people to subscribe
Oh yes. Thats right. Entrecard, Mybloglog, Blogcatalog... do some more research and be more spesific about your questions and you can get better help from us.
I agree with Jacques, do all those things and you should be set for quite a substantial amount of traffic.
Don't use this if you are using Adsense on your blog though. It is against the policy of Google Adsense. I tried it myself and luckily didn't get banned from Adsense but it is against the policy. It also brings crap traffic to your blog because all people care about is getting credits and they don't really care at all about your blog.
