well you need to be more specific.
What kind of website is it?
What traffic are you aiming to attract?

 

wp blogs, social book marks, submit to free directories ....there's more ....... lol welcome to DP

Social bookmarking, submitting articles to article directories, commenting on blogs and forums, advertising through google adwords are just a few ways.

 

article submission and blog posting with quality general, funny or informative contents with links to your site either inline or as By XXXX owner of YYY.com works.

submit to related directories and top sites (but dont expect too much traffic from them).

Build up to be SE friendly and SE optimized so people will find you (once again, provided you have good contents that'll lure visitors and will even make them regulars)

Be active in forums and put links as signature.
If you provide quality advice or funny thread posts, regarding on situation, you'll gain more visitors from forums.
However never spam boldly. There will be times when you can promote your site right on topic
but wait for those times, dont force or you'll be categorized as a spammer.

 

After seo optimization you may get the good traffic on your site.

 

try posting your sites to directories, search engines and post some good comments in forums

directories really help as well.... WP blog work good too.... can you share more insight about meta phrasing in tags......???

Email campaign
Forums, blogs and board postings
Social Bookmarking, etc.
or through paid methods like Pay-Per-Click (PPC), etc.

 

so bust out some links headed there for seo people I need a WP theme because I have all my blogs automated lol and yes blog increase traffic get one lol
