I just add something before the article and after the article that is unique. Keyword research is key. I always read the articles too that I share. I make sure they are quality and I don't post junk. Everyone wins- The author of the articles gets backlinks for their hardwork and effort, I make money and Google is happy and makes money too. It's a win/win. Honestly, let's be realistic- People submit those articles to free directories for them to be shared. That is what the internet is all about (sharing information) However, I do only believe in sharing quality information.
I am going to be honest. I spent two years creating my own unique articles for my blogs (which I still do). I read all this information about unique content and never using the free articles etc and I tried that. It didn't really work and was time consuming. Now I do both, write my own and share others with unique captions, keywords and afterthoughts. It is much more effective and I get a lot more traffic.
The internet is about sharing information. Share information with your readers that is worthwhile and you will make money.
