Add some unique content wait for about half a year. In the meantime keep adding more content and more content. At the time half a year is over you will have more traffic. What is the blog about?
You can also submit your blog to blog directories and exchange links with other bloggers. Getting your blogged ranked well in the search engines is always a good way to get trafffic, but that takes patience .
You could always post a link to it in this forum! The best advise is that above. Fresh content (daily if possible) and lots of nice links from blog directories. If your content is good then you'll start to get 'free' links from other bloggers. You may also want to consider joining a webring related to your site in the short term.

Definately post the URL in any signature files, email and discussion forums. Basic SEO techniques too of course. And content content content. Keep posting regularly about lots of different things and eventually Google will start to pop you into search results for the lots of different terms. Most of my traffic comes from Google, and right now, from Google IMAGES searches of all things.
I NEVER read ebooks, but when I 1st started my blog, I was lost. I read this and did what it said in the FREE report: http://www.super-bloggers.com/ The other keys to building up a blog IMHO are good new entries at least once a day, good clean code and SEO for optimum spider food. This all really starts to work in terms of helping boost traffic by increasing inbound links once others start linking to your blog or syndicating your content. I just started this blog mid March and had over 1500 visitors the first 2 weeks. My traffic has more than quadrupled since then and is growing every month, so I am VERY happy with the results so far. (Thanks to all my loyal readers!) Last I checked my blog was #1 on all the engines for "affiliate blogs" and even has high rankings for "SEO blogs" - a much more competitive term. BLOG TIP: I am REALLY glad I hired a pro WordPress designer to build in lots of custom stuff I wanted and ensure all the code was nice and clean. Thanks to Podz who is a WIZARD and a pleasure to work with! (Extremely reasonable too!) Who knows how it would have turned out if I had tried to do it myself. Come to think of it - if I had not hired Podz to design it, there would not be a 5 Star blog today, because it would still be on my to-do list. Anyway there are TONS of blogs out there. I have to go with the content group. I use my blog to rant and yell about what is going on in the news. Since it's fresh stuff, I get traffic fast and under weird keywords. So, every now and then, fly off the handle about something new in the news. later, tom

For blog traffic you should update your blog day to day and also keep in mind blog color image, blog writing etc. If content is clear then most of the people come to your blog most of time.
