Getting traffic to your site is not so hard but it depends on what you do and for how many time. First of all you want to choose that why you want traffic? just for increasing alex rank or you want to attract peoples to get sales or leads.

If you just want to increase Alexa ranking then you can use Traffic Exchange sites, PTC to get lot of hits to your site. It's also helpful for the promotional pages.

If you want quality visitors then first try to get backlinks.

• Create FB Fan Page, Twitter Page, Pinterest etc. ( use your site name to create account and pages where possible.)
• Add social log in feature to your site so your friends and new visitors can comment or share your blog. It help to get more visitors from Social Sites.
• Create unique articles and submit them to Article directories as more as you can.
• Add your link to your link directories
• Join Forums which are related to your blog and be active their. Ask their members to give review on your site.
• Try to find other blogs related to your niche and comment on their post, please do not spam them, If you do then may be they will remove your link from the comments.
• If you afford then use GOOGLE Adwords or other advertising programs.
• If you do these things actively then you will get hits from search engines automatically. But for that try to add Meta Description & Title to all of your pages.

• Add something to download for free on your site or blog.
