I have a PR5 website... cannot share it here..
I got PR5 in this recent google update... I desperately need some traffic so that I can at least earn what I invested in the website.

Currently it gets just 10-15 uniques per day may be 20 sometimes.

I have heard that a decent PR5 can get as much as 1000 UV per day.

I need some solid help, or else I will have to just sell links and eat up my golden goose

The same for me. One of my web is about four years old, has about 100 pages, PR4, uniques visits per day are about 40.

Similar situation is with my Screenshots Archive. There is about 1600 pages, PR4 and max. 30 uniques per day. I think there is a problem with bad choosen niche - no one need the watermark free screenshots :-(

But I have one PR5 and about 2500 uniques per day :)

PR has nothing to do with unique visits. Which website is it your talking about? Also, where does it rank in search engines? Most of traffic comes from google, you might want to see where you simply rank and work on optimizing a bit better. Good luck!

Wait wait wait... Creating tons and tons of back-links all at once will result in being black listed by major search engines. If you are going to get back-links, do it ethically and slowly without spamming. Otherwise what konradbraun is saying could result in a disaster for you. Good luck!

well i assume PR comes from backlinks and if I already have a PR5 then do i need backlinks? I think something is wrong with onsite seo!

To achieve a PR5 you must already have sufficient backlinks but they may be the wrong kind for you. If you want your backlinks to bring traffic they need to be placed on visual parts of websites with the right anchor text so visitors see the links and click on them.

I believe for your site to be only getting just "10-15 uniques per day" you do not have these backlinks made for traffic. You have the bottom of the page no one looks backlinks that are so common and are just to raise PR.

However the advantages of these backlinks you have you should have a high search engine ranking for the keywords you have targeted so should be producing traffic via these?

I believe your site will not have the relevent SEO in place for the search engines to gain a high ranking.

    Anyways hope this helps.

Exactly what FluFF said. If your Page Rank is already at 5, then you already have all the back-links you need. You are not getting traffic, so I am assuming that you either need need on-site optimization or you chose the wrong back-links and might need to redo that. Good luck anyways, I would love to look at the site, and if you can PM with it, I might be able to make some recommendations. Good day!

And nobody asked what type of site it is...what niche? SEO is not cookie cutter. It may be your niche, or your content.
Just because you have an aged site with PR, doesn't mean anyone wants to read it, or has a need for it

As said above, your links are fine if you got a PR5.

I have a PR5 home page. I get about 1,300 to 1,400 unique visitors daily. A very high percentage of that comes from the search engines. I have worked very hard at what I suspect you need to do — that is, optimize your pages (plural) for multiple keywords that receive a decent amount of searches. Best wishes in your efforts.

That means PR is nothing, it's for Link Exchange only! (with me)

My site has no PR, but can get 5k UV after 3 month.

And, the one thing you need now is update, update and update: more contents, uniquie contents, high quality contents, optimize internal page. Your traffic will increase!

    What he said :)

PR doesn't necessarily mean your going to get loads of visitors, far from it in-fact

If you want visitors id look into keyword research and then attacking those with some decent SEO...
