    Hello

I have just launched a classified service for my local city, I have already started press release and article submission for our website and keen to know what can be other useful methods to attract visitors to our website

If it is local, why not consider an offline marketing campaign such as through newspapers, ad boards, magazines or sponsorship of your local events? Just tell them that you will promote their event on your classified site and in return for that, let them give you the free advertisement space.

Also, you can proceed from shops to shops to raise sponsorship and let them have a listing or ad space if they contribute.

    Joint Venture at work. :D

try advertising on craigslist in your local city's section, tell them its more targeted...getting some ideas?

Good ideas. Take a look at my blog post above (next to the avatar) on localized SEO and marketing. It should answer all your questions.

    A few things:
Local directories, listing on local city and county sites, advertising via Google and Yahoo local works great. Even hanging out at your local college or visiting flee markets could be a good way to find customers.
