I was wondering what techniques or programs i should enroll in or lookup in regards to increasing my traffic relatively fast. If I have to, I will pay for QUALITY unique visitors. Any thoughts?

    For an Affiliate site?

    Try Adwords or similar, perhaps.
Don't waste effort with traffic exchanges or the like.

It's not a true affiliate site, it's a site to promote other affiliates. My site is an advertising service.

My experience with traffic exchange is that they send you traffic that is a waste, such as ecashtraffic. No one actually clicks through the site, they just stay for 30 seconds and leave. It does nothing for alexa rank and is a waste of time. IMO.

Any ideas on targets for adwords? What other programs are there that are similiar to adwords?

There are really only three SEs that matter, and the best way to get into them fast is to buy a link (with follow allowed) on a high PR page. The cost should be reasonable for long enough to get indexed.

Submit to the handful of most important directories.

Does anyone even bother submitting to the SE's anymore? If you get a few links on other indexed sites/directories the biggies will find you fast.

I place a couple of solid links and create a sitemap for Google when I build a new site, but that's about it and sites seem to still be picked up just as fast as when I used to run around submitting them. I haven't done an actual comparison, it may not be 'just as fast', it may just seem that way.

The thing is, for boosting initial traffic getting some links on other sites/directories will give you a jump-start and then those links will also turn into major SE's picking you up.

Pay Per Click is the fastest way to get to the first page if you can afford it in a competitive market and Key phrases. It is good for short term, but if you have time get your site ranking properly on the natural listings as 80% of the browsing community click these vs 20% of sponsored links.

You could start by including your URL in your sigs on forums.

Put those 81 posts to use!

You could try submitting to one of the press release companies. I have heard they bring quite a bit of quality traffic if you have a good press release.

Another tip I will give you is to buy seo software. It maybe pricey, but it brings results. Programs like Web Position Gold, Arelis, and SEO Elite can build traffic on your site within a matter of a few weeks. Wordtracker is a good tool also You can get all these programs for under $600. Add a little elbow grease and you will get a ROI many times more than that within a few months.
