An easy answer but it's easier said than done. If you want a high PR you will need links from other high PR sites.
Building quality links and lots of them is the only possible way to increase your PR. Or just call some friend in Google and ask him to manually adjust your PR.
Hi, I TOTALLY agree with the quote below, I have obtained PR2 & PR3 just with content, although it is correct to say "get high PR back links" who is going to do it? The only way you will get a back link from a higher PR than you is is you are offering some fantastic content or a service, that enhances the original website. Remember it is a trade off, value for value, you will not get value for nothing (or very little). If you are a PR2 with good content you might get a PR4 back linking. Also remember that too many links cancel each other out or dilute your PR, so the answer is to stick to about 5 max per page. Cheers! Carl Henry
The page rank of a web page, depends on the page back links. To increase the page rank of a web page quickly you have to increase link popularity of the web page by submiiting your website to: 1. Free friendly search engine optimized web directories. 2. Advertise in blogs and social bookmarking websites 3. Advertise in forums (Threads, Signatures, Avatars). Exchange Links only with: 1. Web sites that have realted content to your website. 2. Web sites that have similar or higher page rank than your website, but not lower.
I agreed with most of your points here except the last point. I do selectively exchange links with others even with lower PR because I know how it felt being rejected when I started off with PR0. As long as the site is related to my niche and one shows sincerity (sending me a personal email and not bulk email) to exchange link, I will consider. Those Pr0 sites will eventually grow up one day.
well i am also hunting for PR, I have done many of the discussed points here, except many backlinks from higher PR sites, i have only a few....
I think the quickest solution is to get links, but the best long term solution is to focus on content. If you focus purely on content creation you won't move up in PR as fast, but you have a better shot of moving higher as time goes on.
