    Hello guys,

I am working for a client now who has 2-3 pages web site, and he is paying 20000$ per month for Google Adwords. He bids between 10$ to 80$ per keywords. I started working for him yesterday and I stopped his adword campaign until I make for him a proper web site. The guy is a plumber network in the US.

He has low quality score, and I hope after make the new site I will increase his quality score. I am now adding landing page for each city. The city landing page contains:
    1) Title that uses the city name and the keyword "Plumbers"
    2) Meta tags
    3) H1
    4) list of zip codes in that city
    5) Phone numbers
    6) Promo code to get 100$ discount
    7) the page URL is like /Los-Angeles-CA/Plumbers/
    8) a little content

I am going to add site maps, privacy policy, contact us page.

Will that increase his quality score?
    Do you have any advice?
How long it takes to see new quality score (after google cache the new pages)?

    Thanks!

Most of that probably won't make a lot of difference - it's what's on the page that appears to matter to Adwords, not how it's constructed, I think.

Content is important, as are a privacy policy and contact details.

Be aware that if you're working with an existing campaign, if it had a low clickthrough rate in the past, it could be difficult to resurrect. If its Poor QS was caused by the landing page, it'll often improve within a day or two, though it could take longer...

    Steps to increase Quality Score.

    1) Choose only specific and relevant keywords from good keyword suggestion tools like google adwords, wordtracker, etc
    2) Use broad match type for your keywords
    3) Initially keep high max cpc for all keywords
    4) Make Creative adcopies/adtexts
    5) Make 3 to 4 variations of adcopies/adtexts
    5) Use your keyword in headlines, description lines and also in display urls
    6) Landing page should match with the adcopies/adtexts and keywords.

    1. A good idea - your clickthrough rates will generally be better, and your adverts should be more closely related to them, as will your homepage.

    2. Interesting point. Broad Match certainly won't improve your QS as your CTR is almost always lower. But since the QS is the same for a keyword regardless of the match type, it's not totally clear to me at least whether broad-matching will reduce a keyword's QS, or make no difference.

    3. Doesn't have any bearing on your Quality Score - Google takes position into account when assessing your CTR (although I'm not convinced about how well they do this once you fall off the first page).

    4. Testing new adverts is a good idea, and will improve your CTR over time, which will improve your QS. But running multiple adverts will only improve your QS if the new ones are better than the old ones. Running new adverts when your existing ones are already very good can do more harm than good.

    5. This is certainly important early in the life of the campaign, before Google can assess your CTR, but it appears less significant after that...

    6. Absolutely critical. Your keywords, advert text and landing page must all be relevant to each other.
