I am having difficulties increasing Page Rank for one of my sites www.infatex.com Currently it is PR 4. About 2 months ago i submitted my site to 700 directories, nothing changed yet. I am curious, if i will send out Articles about web design, SEO, or internet marketing will it help? What about press releases? Link Exchange? Link buying? How many links with Higher PR should i buy? What PR should be on these sites. I don't want to spend lots of money though. What is the best way to increase my current PR 4 to let's say PR 5? Please tell me what’s the best way to do that? Any thoughts? I believe many people would like to hear the answers. SEO PROs, what do you recommend?
even if you submit to 700 dir i got like 5 emails telling me that they included them it can take a while
What you have to consider is the quality of the exact page that your link is displayed. If your link is included in a website that has a homepage PR6 but your link is actually displayed on a page with PR0 then will it make a difference? The truth is you need your link to appear on PR5+ related pages to make a difference. Now your website specialises in SEO, that means that other SEO related websites have to include your link. I can not see other SEO companies including your link and advertising the competition for free. You will have to devote time and money to build up your PR. I would target the SEO directories and forums. Keep it related. A few good related links are worth thousands of unrelated links. It all comes down to the same old saying: Quality NOT Quantity.
The best way to do it is by link baiting. Create content that is useful to your visitor and promote it via email, forum, digg, and any type of promotion you know.(DONT SPAM) If you have atleast $100 bucks you could get few PR5-6 link which will certainly will help your site.
I Have few suggestions, [1] Buy few high PR links. If your budget is limited than you can consider some directories like, site-sift, octopedia, 2yi etc.. [2] Submit article as per Bondat suggested. [3] Try to concentrate on quality rather than quanity. (That will help better)
You really don't have to buy the links. You can find relevant people to trade with, you just have to know where to look... *cough* my sig *cough*. Hexed
Hi skionxb. Directory submissions don't help much in boosting PR. Most of the directories out there are very new or PR 4 or less. They can only boost your link popularity, and help a little on Yahoo and MSN because you are getting keyword rick link texts. You should start an agressive link building campaign to boost your PR. I've worked on quite a few sites, and PR 5 is easy to get, but getting a PR above 5 can be difficult and time consuming. Also, Google only updates PR once every 3 or 4 or 5 months. If you did the directory submissions 2 months back, you'll see the change only when the PR updates.
