Okay I write one blog and going to move on to two soon.

I blog about technology and will move into a nich blog that only covers mp3 players.

Now I really stunk in the past. $3 a month. . . yea that was bad. Then came Google and updated their index and voila I went to $14 last month.

Now I know this is spare change for you guys . .but can you check my site and offer some pointers. .(yes the search bar is too low, but google doesn't have a transparent background which is really ticking me off).

Those standard looking ads don't usually deliver a high ctr. You'd be better off with text links up top (they look kinda like navigation links so they get more clicks), and more traffic. Or, you could keep those ads up there and put text links under the top post.

    And, of course, more traffic.

well it all depends how many unique visitors ur site gets... you should at least expect 5% of all your visitors to click... so if you are getting 10 visitors... thats not even 1 person who will click...... most of the times its 1% who clicks so for 100 people = 1 click... of course it all depends on the placement and stuff... ive got a site where 7-10% click and i think thats pretty good :|

Also your site might be running low cost keywords... for example i have one site who received say x clicks and got something around $0.xx and another who got the same amount of x clicks and got $x.xx

    Hope this helps :|

I don't know if you changed it, but the placement you have now looks good to me. You might want to try writing longer posts, if you've got the time. Getting more content up with every post will help you out. Not the easiest way to get $$$, but if you have good writeups it will result in increased visitors and increased $$$. Again, everything looks good in terms of placement. You could try adding the images above the ads. Just make sure to use proper procedure.

I think, it is all factor of visitors, content quality, or particular ads displayed at that time. I think, we all need to share secrets to get high ranking in SEs and traffic

hehe, sorry wasn't talking to you shadow. You have a nice looking site though too! However, the placement of your google ad won't generate many clicks. It's too tucked away. I'd suggest changing the border to it to match the red in the title, and then place it directly under the title. That will get you much more clicks. Good luck!

Everyone hear continues to talk about traffic. That's great and traffic will help, but you gotta look at your demographics as well. Look at who you're giving Adsense ads too...the "Tech Industry". These are people that are on their computers all day and know the difference between Adsense and a regular 'ol link.

Look at Slashdot.org. You don't see Adsense on their site, they wouldn't be making any money with it (well, they probably would, but they can make more understanding their market...and they do). They know there market. You'll see ads for hosting companies, software products, webdev stuff, etc...

You wanna make some big adsense money, go after a market that has 1. high paying adwords and 2. an industry that people don't know what Adwords/Adsense is

I had my ads blended into a site and the google links were the same color as the other hyperlinks, then I changed them to a more prominent color and the CTR doubled.
