position the ad's in different places on your site....English readers are trained to read from left to right, top to bottom.
what i mean, is that i get clicks, but i want each click to pay more. i have a career site, so it doesn't pay a lot, but i was wondering if tehre is any trick to make each click pay more. any input would be appreciated.
yes, there is a trick - provide them something of value! If you are using AdSense as your primary way to monetize, then you are at the whims of the search engines as to what they put up. You may try banner ads or CPA offers from affiliate networks that have products related to career / training / etc. Hardest thing is that with a few clicks a day, you dont really have a lot of data to test with one way or the other about the success of any marketing programs.
Actually its well documented that when English readers visit webpage, their eyes look from top left to top right, then down the right hand side and then to the rest of the page. Ads usually do better on the right hand side menu than the left for this reason.
You want to get more money per click? I use bidvertiser which bids for each click you get on your site. Ive made 4 bucks in 2 days... YES! and my blog doesent get a lot of traffic so far.
Google puts ads on your site/page to match the content of your site/page. They pay you a share in the revenue they generate from each click (but don't disclose how the share is determined). So if Google makes good money, so will you. This means you can increase your pay per click by having content for which advertisers pay good money per click. I've noticed that the first few clicks per day often generate less revenue than the clicks made later that day. It could be that the percentage of revenue paid to you increase with the amount of clicks you have. Andrew
I noticed that as well Every morning when I see a couple of 6 to 9c clicks, I start trembling with fear that my account got hit with smart pricing And, you are absolutely correct, everything gets back to normal with the amount of clicks increasing.
You didn't really say, but are you using Adsense? If so, look at what sites are appearing. If they look "spammy" block them from showing up within your account. This will raise your EPC over time.
