How to increase parked domain's traffic?

I think domain parking is a good way to earn money and right now have parked as many domains as I can.

I am curious how I can increase these domains' traffic, so I can earn some more money.

    Any tips or ideas?

Domains should have natural type in traffic... you don't build traffic to them.

Especially for newly registered urls, "domain doping", ( i.e., loading up the links to the domain - be they paid or not ), seems to work to boost revenue especially if done just prior to parking at some mini web site service. Wait until "G"od notices it, usually in about a week, then move it into parking mode. Of course, an aged domain could be acquired with many links already on board. Submit url to as many free directories as possible.

There is no one best parking company for all domains...some just do better at one company than another.

Most of the domain parking services have self-optimization tools also they provide few tips to generate revenues, you need to check that.

I have a parked domain ranked number 5 out of 335,000 on G. It's held number 4 or 5 for years. It makes $3-$5 a day. I wish I had about 1000 of these. :D

I've read that some domaineers use other forms of traffic generating techniques for parked domains but no specifics given other than cost. It may be then for paid and targeted InternetTrafficHits. Can anyone provide any clues which can be shared?

    Tip o' the hat

Some people do arbitrage, but most people/companies don't like it. You can try asking.

Thanks for the reply. While I know what stock market arbitrage is, I'm not clear on how that term is used in regards to domain parking. Could you please advise further on that?

    Arbitrage:

When you pay for traffic (such as using Google's Adwords) and direct this traffic to a website the sole purpose of making you money (basically a website filled with ads). The goal is to profit. Have a high CTR and make more than you spent on the advertising.

To parked pages, it SHOULD be against your parking providers TOS. I don't know what parking provider you are personally using, but a majority of them don't allow it.

Parked.com on the other hand should. I've read numerous reports with people using Google AdWords to fuel traffic to their parked.com pages. You can customize content and all on the page also. I've never done it and most likely never will.

Different parking companies have different rules. Read them all and you will surely find the ones that allow you to purchase traffic or build traffic. ;)

Sorry, I don't give out the URL's to my parked domains. I can tell you that most of them make me money off of type in traffic without regard to my position in the serps.

The only way to make money from a Website/domain is to have traffic, and parking is no different. New domains rarely bring in enough traffic to pay for the domain registration cost let alone make a profit. If your plan is to park domains and make $ from search traffic, then the domains need plenty of backlinks and need onpage SEO like any other site. And if you are going to go to that extreme, it may be better just to build a mini site and throw adsense on it. At least you would have full control over onpage SEO, which many parking companies do not have the capability of providing.

Expired domains with type in traffic can be found, but be prepared to bid on them before the domain is deleted. Otherwise, someone else will snatch it up and park it.

Since parking companies display the ads from top online publishers (Google, Yahoo, etc., ), your niche will determine how much money you make per click. Research your niche wisely.
