Lol, people say backlinks, yeah backlinks, but I would categorize these, you either have backlinks because you go around spamming comments on blogs or submitting to directories, or you get actual backlinks from people who like your content and genuinely want to share it with others by linking to you/adding to your stumbleupon/digg

You can also do press release submission.......Article submission, Comment posting.....

 

Directories are overrated. Waste of time IMO. once you get accepted in a diretory...most likely your on a PR0 page. Article submissions are good but take long time. PR1-PR5 blog comment pages are way more worth it to build PR juice.

I've had this issue for ages, and today I really saw my hard work put in! I tried my best to submit a lot of links to places and exchanging in the last 2 months and now I'm back on page one of google! I hope soon my PR will be going up as well.

 

I am a bit surprised that so many people still fixate on PR. Why not focus on rankings and conversion. You know the stuff that might actually make you money.

Yes back link do the main job. But beware to chose the rite path to getting back link..
chose those pages which are already cashed by google. no matter directory pages or what so ever. do social bookmarking discuss it on forums. do link exchange....
all the game is getting more and more quality back links..

Then advertise your website to as many peoples you can. Search and you can find some free or paid services for your website.

If you can you can increase your page rank paying to the search engine companies like yahoo or google.

The most important, get lots of visitors.
