Here are a few steps to take in order to increase your Page Rank. This should help any beginners who are having this problem. 1. Update your blog or site with content. You should write about 300-500 words and have your keywords in the article body. These articles should be unique. Duplicate content is a penalty by Google and all your posts should be at least 30% different from the others. 2. Your domain age needs to be at least 3-6 months. Google does not give a Page Rank to new domains no matter how much of these steps you apply. 3. Add as many inbound links to your site as you can. The more you have, the more higher your Page Rank. 4. Another factor about backlinks is their authority. Make sure to have high PR backlinks pointing back to your blog. This can be easily done by comment posting. However, if you do comment, make sure to add value to them so it does not seem like spamming. If any of you have anything to add, make a post below.
PR is not very important. I have a few blogs with high PR, but I havent traffic on this blogs. In the other hand, on some blogs PR is zero, and I have a ton of visitors them.
I don't think Page Rank's purpose is traffic. PR helps you rank higher in the SERPs and allow your blog to be a backlink for one of your other blogs. The pros do this because when one of your sites has a high PR, the rest of your pages get spread down with lower PR as well. For example, if your home page has a PR of 3, your "category pages" will have maybe a PR of 2 or 1. You can then add your link to the blogroll of your pages and that in itself creates quality backlinks. This is extremetly helpful because Google likes sites from high PR blogs.
This tips might be a bit more helpful for a blog (or something like that), right? Is it as efficient for forums too? My guess is that it also applies, but there are some different things to consider in that case.
Yeah, it's something kind of odd IMO. It happened to me too. My site had a "Under Construction" page for about a year, and after 2-3 months of actual activity I got a PR 4 on december of this year.
My blog got PR2 in at least 5-6 months. And I'm thinking that he made a very good work before the Google's last Page Rank update.
Well, the domain age doesn't matter in getting PR. All that matters are quality of the content and backlinks.
here are some more: >> Try to keep your pages' adresses the shorter you can. >> Whenever you can, you should use ".HTML" or ".HTM" pages. Those pages are static and are more valuable in Google bots' eyes. >> Avoid useless code in your page: the slimmer your code, the better it is.
I have had my site for about a month now and had all kinds of links to high page rank sites. I had about thirty PR 1 inbound links, sixteen PR 2s, eighteen PR 3s, five PR 4s, and three PR 5s. Despite all of this, I now currently only have a PR of 0. Do I have to just be patient now and just let the Google Bot browse my site again?
Nice tip there rukn2002, I never knew about .HTML and .HTM pages. Are these types of pages really important in the Google Bot's eyes? Also, what do you mean by useless code?
Another thing you can do is to write unique content on places such as squidoo, hubpages, blogger and article directories with a link back to your website. This method is also good to give you some immediate traffic while ranking you higher in the serps.
PR is not important. But still, if you want to increase your PR then you should be creating a lot of backlinks. But again, if you leave making backlinks then your PR will be down again. It is not stable.
