How to increase or maintain Page Rank

Hello,

I have 2 sites with PR4 and one of them dropped to PR2. I really don't know why is that?

I use the same seo strategies by submitting them to social bookmarking sites and article directories.

My question is,

How to increase and maintain Page Rank?

More quality links you get, more importance you will have in the eyes of google and more pager rank juice
The older your site gets, you may notice that the pagerank value too would increase, it happens because your link gets added at various places

 

keep maintaining the backlinks you have.. as links drop down, your site also gets affected.. keep promoting and get more backlinks.. promote in article sites, press releases, forums, free classifieds, comment on blogs, link directories etc.. do these to increase your PR and maintain them..

I agree with you all, backlinks are important, make sure that all your backlinks are dofollow, if they aren't google will not like it. Try to promote your site

 

To increase you PR, you need just obtain backlinks from high PR pages. The more you get, the higher rank will be. Please note Google not pays attention that linking page has similar topic as destination website.
BUT, instead direct your energy and time to create quality unique content. This will bring you traffic.

 

you aren't going to get or maintain a pr4 or above unless you have some really strong links in from authority sites, little social bookmarking and article submission ain't going to cut it now days...

 

I would worry about SERPs not PR. I think the best thing is to just google up your keywords, then go down the sites that turn up for it and see if you can get linked up with those sites. Even if just a few.

 

I think that you should try social bookmarking service , that will really help you to increase your pagerank

In my own experiences, social bookmarking might be not so helpful for PR purpose though it is a nice channel for SERP or traffics. If you want to increase your PR, using fresh niche relative original page contents plus increasing back links using your targeted keywords as anchor text would be top 2 issues.

may be you have lost some quality links you had earned before. this may be the reason of dropping your PR. collect quality links through different SEO sources. squidoo links are very important. create a squidoo for your site

 

Also try submitting your site to either blog directories or website directories which has high PR.

One more thing is on-site content updates. All you have to do is update content of your site even. Only generating backlink wont help you to stay on top of search engine. You had reached a good stage now increase generating backlink link and content will give you higher priority in search engine.

 

Post informative content and increase your website backlinks try to get backlinks from high PR sites and one more thing reduce your bounce rate.
