You will have a lot of traffic in social bookmarking sites. But some social bookmarking sites are no-follow to avoid spam but it is still helpful. Don't just focus on social bookmarking site, you can do another methods to increase your ranking like article submission, blog commenting and directory submission.
For that you should post quality post with unique content. Then only your topic will be in the hot topics zone.
