How to increase my adsense revenue

    Hi!
I have a link directory: www.addyourlinkfree.net, to which I receive almost 1.5k unique visitors a month, but I make with my adsense account only a few bucks a month.
In a month I get 1500 unique visitors, 6000 page views and 2 or 3 clicks on my ads banner.

What can I do to increase my click-rate?

    Thank you!

Split-test more. Create 2 variations of your site with different ad placements, sizes, content, etc and send half your traffic to each version of it. Track the results, keep doing what works better and then split-test some more.

The thing is that most of my visitors are targeted, bounce rate is only 20% not very big.
I'm thinking of adding some text on homepage and category pages and try to integrate the ads in the text

Almost all my traffic visit the homepage and addlink page. Where do you think I can place the ads on addlink page for best conversion?

for best conversions, follow this steps:

    1- remove the right ads
2- place a new large ad box inside your contents ( if you can: place it under the head lines tag )
3- change the background colors on all your ads, to be the same color of your site, to seem like your site contents not advertisments

1.Change your display ads (only put text ads)
    2.Change your links color
3.Input Adsense code into the text area if possible .

You need to work on the traffic of your site, even the ctr is as high as 1%, with 1.5k uv's a month, that'd be only 15 clicks.

Identify subjects where you can do marketing campaign by utilizing Google adwords in which you can attract visitors by keeping low costs on clicks. Try and buy text link advert in turn is likely to increase Internet visitors on your website via the ad. You can also engage yourself in writing articles for one-way back-link generation to improve your page ranking. Don't forget that exchanging links with other webmasters can also be of some value because it is likely going to attract more visitors on your website.

1.5 k unique Visitor, 6K pageview and just 2-3 click. that scary man. I think you are facing any of following problem.
1). Check your bounce rate and time on your site. If you got more bounce rate there is less chance of clicking on your ADs.
2). Check out the ads category. Is it actually related to your content? eg. if you have a child game website and you ads are related to business services then off-course children will not be interested in clicking on your ads. So target ads related to your website content and niche.
3). If you are not facing any of above then the problem must be with tracking your ads click.

keep trying diferent things until you find the right one but make sure also that the ads you have on your site are actually related to what your site is all about. if your site is about ninja weapons, then maybe you can have ads for someone selling ninja weapons it will increase the clicks dramatically other wise people wont have interest in the ads and wont click them.

    Hello MadMan,
See, that's the thing about Adsense. Were it me coming there to put a link down, that would be my focus. Not clicking on Adsense ads there.

Getting on with Adsense is about more than having a site, even a popular one with a lot of visits. It's about bringing folks in, giving them a good experience, but not ALL the experience, so that they will click on an Adsense ad to go further.

Your site is not "targeted." That's the problem. You get a lot of views of people coming there for various reasons to do a link...and then they are gone.

With your next site, concentrate on focus.... Make one about red dump trucks, and if it gets visits, I'll guarantee you that you'll get some Adsense clicks for folks interested in finding out more about them.

Naturally, what I just told you is the simplified version. There is an art and science to putting up a good Adsense site.

    Norm
