My Experience - I make pages with keywords included in the title. Something that people would search. Example beauty products,fashion etc . Post 3 times a day. Picture is better than text. Regular Polls. Some Contest. Free prizes for the fans. This points may seem simple but they are very effective.
Actually I still can't figure this right: Everybody's talking that picture is way more better that simple text posts. But on the pages I manage, a simple text post gets 5x more likes, comments and reach that de image posts. I believe that the image posts will be welcomed with the new newsfeed because it is much more visual improved. But, as I said, my experience showed me kind of other results.
It depends on the niche you are in I guess. For entertainment niche picture is better than text but other niche text may be good. Just split test and be creative. think outside the box and eventually you will get the likes. Best Of Luck !

You can get many likes in short time but it all depends on how interesting your contents are. Users like to engage them with the things on their interest. Make sure your page has mass appeal and good/interesting contents. Then you need to focus on sharing your page with more and more people.
Send Invitation to your friends first and also tell some of your close friends to do so, regular update your page wall..Post uncommon articles or photos so that people may somehow engage on your page, don't bore people by tagging photos if unnecessary..one thing use girl's account to invite to get more and more likes..
