    Hello guys,
BTW, this is my first topic :)
I was surfing DP forums, and i think, everyone want to increase his facebook fan page, that's why, i created a new php script (or a fb app :p) that may help you alot!

2 days ago, I bought a domain name and a host (cPanel). Then, i hosted my files, tested them, and voilà! i think it's working !! :D However it's still beta version :)

The script is a Video Like Gate, it's simple, user must like your page to watch the video. But the best thing about this trick, is , the video is already playing in the background, this way, they will absolutely 'Like' !

here is an exemple: http://socialholder.com/watch.php (I think you got the idea now :) and yes it's not a new one :p)

Now, if you want tomake a new video, Go here: http://socialholder.com/

As i said before, this script is beta, so we will continue developping it :)

Hope this will help you guys, ;)

I don't know if this is a problem on my end or developing end, but when I go to the example page, I see the video playing and hear the sound, the only thing is there is a very small "Like" button floating near the bottom.

I don't think this works as well as it could. You aren't really provoking the user to Like anything, there is just a small button on top of the video. If someone wanted to, they could simply watch the video and never hit the like button.

I think for this to be more effective you should mimic a page lock for a like. This way the user could only see a small portion of the video and it would be mostly blocked out by a graphic that says "Like us to see the video" or something like that.

This way the user HAS to hit the like button if they want to watch the video. Otherwise they can't see it completely. In your script a user can completely see the video regardless of the button.

Another way to go about it would be to play a small section of the video, let's say 20 seconds, and then have the block come up. So the user would click play, see about 20 seconds then it would pop up with "Like us if you want to continue the video!" or something of that nature.

That way if the user likes the video so far, they will click like to see the rest.

Some of this could be a bit tricky on the development end, but VERY worth the time and effort.

    Hello,
First of, thnx for ur feedback :)
Now, I'm not sure why u got the example page like that, but I think it's because u r not enabling javascript, so please make sure it is enabled in ur internet browser, because everything is just perfect from here.
Btw, I already tested the website on couple of browsers such as google chrome, mozilla firefox, safari, opera..
    Hope this may help you.
