WAY to general a question. I suggest you peruse this site and learn. When you have read some, formulate some questions specific to your case and then ask again. We're here to give advice but not hold your hand.

 

First are you getting any traffic?
Second what kind of site do you have? a blog or regular site
Third what are you doing to get traffic

I need this information before I can give you any advice.

Start your own thread instead of hijacking this one. But I can tell you that you'll need to provide more information than you have, and I suggest you search around DP first.

 

you need to be at the top of your serps do some backlinking once you will be at the first page then you can have lots of traffic thats where money comes in ...

 

Pretty sure you're just asking how to gain more traffic to your website. That's just a matter of marketing - social media marketing, submitting to Digg/StumbleUpon, things of that nature will help get your articles out there.

 

The first thing that you need to do to increase your traffic is stand in the middle of the street. There is plenty of traffic happening there.

For better results, try a highway during rush hour.

If you want to make real money with adsense you need traffic. Start by setting some goals and work backwords.

For example:

Your goal is to make about $35000 per year. This breaks down to about $3,000 per month or about $100 per day. So your goal is $100 per day.

Now, assume that you will get about 25 cents per click. Depending on your niche, this too may vary. Use the Google Keywords tool to get an average cost. For this post, I am assuming 25 cents per click.

So, you need about 400 clicks to make $100 per day.

Depending on your niche and site design, about 4-8% of your visitors will click on ads. Let's assume 4%. It is always better to be pessimistic in these exercises.

So, if you need 400 clicks, a total of about 10,000 visitors per day to your site.

Of course, as you get more visitors, you will also get higher paid ads, so you won't need as much traffic.

There are 2 ways to achieve this.

Option 1: Create a great site and gradually increase traffic. This will take you about 1-2 years to do before you start to make serious money and achieve your goal.

Option 2: Develop 5-6 mediocre websites which get about 1,000 visitors per day.

Making money with adsense is not difficult, but it definitely is not as simple as creating a site and waiting for big checks. It takes time, effort, trial and error and persistence. The reason most people fail is that they create a site and give up on it after 2 months. You can look at website building as a business or as a quick income stream. If you look at it as a business, you will make more money over the long run.

I am totally impressed in the way you have explained adsense earning. Actually I have started blogging 3 months back only and at the time of start I make up my mind that I am not gonna earn a penny in the first year but I keep on updating my blog on daily basis.
After three months, now I feel great as I am getting 600 visitors daily and around 1100 page views. I am getting up all the way in Alexa ranking and achieved PR1 in the last update.

Your post has given me an upward push to focus on it for the long run and I am sure that whatever you have written above will be true for me within 1-2 years.

However I am about to start a second blog this weekend but that will be a mediocre site just for adsense purpose with high paying niche, as an experiment.

to get money you need traffic. to get traffic there are lots of things to do.

 

Thanks PK. It is good to experiment as long as you expect to learn and nothing more. Any money you earn will be a bonus. When you feel confident, then work on that one blog that you believe in.

In order to get more clicks (=more money) you should get more traffic, there is a lot of methods to get traffic but this is another subject.

 

It is not easy to make money from adsense. Making a website won't gain you any traffic or impressions. It is lot of hard work over a period of time. Write content regularly and build links. Exercise this for some time from now and you see your traffic increasing and so do your earnings. I don't think there is an easy way to make money. More content + backlinks = more visitors = more money.

 

first of all promote site to attract traffic than adsense will be profitable for you but if after more traffic it is not beneficial, than change your ads format. as an example check my site of signature link "Home & Kitchen Appliances"
