my site, www.cheapdanny.com - coupon and discount site, is about a year old and brings in only 50-150 traffic/day. I've added keywords to title, meta description, meta keywords to each post - still not bringing in traffic. One thing I notice is that google searches bring up the index page rather than the individual post - thus loosing traffic because the visitors are NOT brought directly to a particular page. For example, if someone searches for "BlackBerry Storm promo code", it brings up only www.cheapdanny.com - not the verizon promotion post - http://www.cheapdanny.com/2009/02/verizon-wireless-new-promotions.html Can someone please take a look at the site, cheapdanny and let me know what else i can do to improve google traffic? thanks in advance!
It sounds like you expect traffic and search engine rankings simply because you have an optimized website. This is not the case. Google does not simply give rankings to every website that has good onpage optimization. Rankings & traffic mostly comes down to backlinks. You need to build up better backlinks than the websites ranking above you. For some keywords this may require thousands of links. Link quality is more important than link quality for Google rankings though. The same goes for your internal pages. If you want those to rank well, they need lots of backlinks. If you only have links to your homepage, it is unlikely that your internal pages would have rankings. So you need to start working at building backlinks on a regular basis. It is an ongoing process that can take months or years.
That is because the words are on the page together on your homepage, and they are not together on that individual page. If you tweaked your title to that phrase, the individual page would rank
Glen, that may get the individual page to rank, but for this particular website that internal page would not rank very well. His link profile is simply too weak.
I think you need write the right keyword in each page of your site and go to submit each page of your site to search,then if some one want to search someting,your inside page will show to the users.
If you want increase google traffic then most important things always remember content should be fresh because search engine loved with fresh content and LPC of website should be minimum 2.50 lakhs .
I have keywords placed in each post but still not getting searches directly to those posts. My site had PR 3 but after switching dns from cheapdanny.blogspot.com to www.cheapdanny.com, the PR went down to 0 and lost all the backlinks. Even before switching to the new url, I was getting very little visitors. What else can I do and is there a way to build all the backlinks I lost quickly?
